What is Clover Station Duo?

The Clover Station Duo is an all-in-one point of sale and payment system that is designed to make payment acceptance, customer engagement, and operations management easy for businesses. This integrated device comes with a wide range of features, including a high-quality touchscreen display, a high-speed printer with a customer-facing display, and a cash drawer. One of the key benefits of the Clover Station Duo is its fully integrated EMV® card and contactless payment acceptance system, which allows customers to pay using their preferred payment method. 

How to Set Up Your Clover Station Duo PoS System?

When you receive the package you will get a display monitor, terminal, receipt printer, connector cable, cable hub ethernet cable. Paper rolls, screw driver, cable Velcro, power adapter and cable. 

After opening and checking your package, let us now set your Clover Station Duo. Here are the steps to easily set up your Clover Station Duo:

  1. With your devices top down, attach the end of the connector cable with pink diamond to the Clover Station or the merchant facing display. Lightly tighten with the provided screwdriver.

  2. Attach the other end to the Clover Mini or the customer facing terminal and tighten the screw.

  3. Connect the receipt printer cable to the base of the Clover Station or the merchant facing display and tighten the screw.

  4. Connect the cable hub to the Clover Station or the merchant facing display and tighten.

  5. Plug one end of the power adapter into the cable hub

  6. Connect the cable to the power adapter before placing each device right side up.

  7. Lastly, plug it into your grounded AC power outlet.

Once everything is into place, let us now set up the software. After turning on the device you can now select the language that you prefer. After that, let us now connect to your network and activate your device. You can connect via mobile, wifi, or ethernet, whichever works best for you. 

  • For mobile network devices (sim card), verify that your device is connected to the mobile cellular network.

  • For ethernet option, connect on ethernet cable to the hub then to your modem or router. Your device will automatically connect to the internet and notify you when successfully connected. Just make sure to turn off any wi-fi  networks.

  • For wireless network or Wi-Fi, tap connect and select your network. Enter the password and follow the prompts.

Once you are connected, clover support will send you an email with activation code for your device. The code will be sent to the email address used to set up your merchant account. On the activation screen, enter the 8-digit activation code. Your device will now update the apps that come pre-installed on your system. 

Now, let us set up the printer. Open the printer door and push the green lever. Insert the paper roll and close the printer door until it clicks. Afterwards, you can print a quick test receipt. On the display, tap continue. You will be directed to select your clover service plan and any third party apps you want to use. Apps can also be added later with the more tools app on your clover device or under more tools on the web dashboard.
